Sexologist
A multidisciplinary expertise center, specialized in the diagnosis and guidance of developmental problems and neurodivergence, is looking for a sexologist with knowledge of and affinity with neurodivergence. The focus is on guiding neurodivergent young people and adults with questions and difficulties related to intimacy, relationships, and identity development. Collaboration between different disciplines is central.
What you will do.
- Guide young people and adults with neurodivergence on questions related to intimacy and relationships.
- Offer support on themes such as relational communication, boundaries and consent, body perception, gender identity, sensory sensitivities, and differences in intimacy needs.
- Pay attention to how autism and ADHD can influence communication and relational functioning.
- Develop individual guidance, partner guidance, psychoeducation, or a group offering, depending on expertise.
- Align guidance with the personal help request, developmental level, and context of the client.
- Work closely with doctors, psychologists, orthopedagogues, and other disciplines.
- Actively participate in relevant case discussions and multidisciplinary consultations, respecting professional secrecy.
What they ask
- Relevant basic education in healthcare, psychology, pedagogical sciences, or a related discipline, supplemented with a recognized training in sexology.
- Knowledge of and preferably experience with neurodivergence and developmental disorders.
- Experience in guiding young people, adults, and/or couples is a significant added value.
- Ability to discuss sensitive and complex topics in an open, respectful, and non-judgmental manner.
- Work inclusively and culturally sensitively, with attention to diversity in relationships, orientation, gender identity, physical abilities, and relational forms.
- Communicate clearly, maintain professional boundaries, and work carefully within one's own area of expertise.
- Ability to work independently and feel at home within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to further delve into the specific needs and experiences of neurodivergent clients.
