Head of Department Therapy, Training and Diagnostics
As Head of Department Therapy, Training and Diagnostics (T&T and DMR), you are a crucial link in ensuring high-quality care and the development of treatment programs within a forensic psychiatric center. You have a clear vision on treatment and diagnostics and know how to effectively translate this into practice. You manage various teams totaling approximately 25 FTE, who are responsible for therapies, training, diagnostic activities, and research projects.
You focus on improving treatment programs, optimizing diagnostic processes, and promoting multidisciplinary collaboration. Continuous improvement to enhance the quality of care is central to your approach. You are a mentor and coach for your team members, supporting them in their professional development and creating a safe, stimulating work environment.
In addition to daily management, you also contribute to the strategic direction of the organization and actively seek collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to stimulate continuous development. In this role, you combine operational leadership with strategic thinking, ensuring concrete improvements that make a difference for patients and employees.

- Lead the Therapy and Training (T&T) and Diagnostics, Monitoring and Research (DMR) departments
- Maintain and further develop treatment programs and diagnostic techniques
- Stimulate a culture of continuous development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the departments
- Coach and develop employees so they can reach their full potential
- Promote a safe, stimulating, and results-oriented work environment
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to further improve the quality of care
- Contribute to strategic policy development within the organization
What they ask
- Completed relevant academic education, for example, psychology, orthopedagogy, or (forensic) psychiatry
- In possession of a BIG registration (Dutch healthcare professionals register)
- Demonstrable experience in leadership within a healthcare context, ideally within a forensic setting
