Orthopedagogue, Psychologist and Dyslexia Therapist

A specialized practice is looking for a professional to make children and young people happy. The practice offers reimbursed dyslexia care, reimbursed Youth Mental Healthcare (Jeugd-GGZ), and non-reimbursed help with learning difficulties. The treatments are dynamic, intensive, challenging, and stimulating. The team consists of 28 colleagues. Weekly, over 500 children and young people and their parents visit the practice for assessment and/or treatment in themed rooms.

In addition to the practice, the organization has its own educational publishing house with a webshop and is a developer and publisher of methods for learning difficulties and Youth Mental Healthcare. Within the organization, new materials, software, and treatment programs in the field of learning difficulties and Youth Mental Healthcare are also continuously developed. Ideas and input are greatly appreciated.

What you do

As a dyslexia therapist:

  • Treatment of children with dyslexia according to proprietary methodologies
  • Closely monitoring the development of each child
  • Maintaining good contacts with parents/guardians and school
  • Internal training in working methods and methodologies
  • Professional guidance from experienced colleagues and lead therapists
  • Participation in intervision meetings

As a psychologist/orthopedagogue in Youth Mental Healthcare (Jeugd-GGZ):

  • Diagnosis and treatment of children and young people with diverse questions and problems
  • Possibility of a combined dyslexia and Youth Mental Healthcare role with relevant experience
  • Ample opportunities for further development within Youth Mental Healthcare

What they ask

  • Completed university degree in Psychology or Educational Sciences
  • Relevant experience within Youth Mental Healthcare (Jeugd-GGZ) is important for a combined role

Preferences.

  • Experience with dyslexia treatment is a plus, but not a requirement
