Chapter Data Engineering
As a Chapter Lead, you will combine your technical expertise with coaching and people responsibilities within an organization that connects professionals with challenging projects.
What you do
Technical.
- Work hands-on within a multidisciplinary DevOps team.
- Act as a specialist in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.
- Contribute to technical solutions and help maintain high engineering standards.
- Support and guide developers in improving technical craftsmanship.
- Share knowledge and stay up to date with developments in Data Engineering and related technologies.
- Help shape the technical vision, standards, and way of working within the chapter.
Leadership & coaching.
- Coach and support chapter members in their personal and professional development.
- Help developers identify opportunities to improve their skills and craftsmanship.
- Support performance, growth, and career development.
- Create an environment where people can learn, collaborate, and perform at their best.
- Encourage knowledge sharing across the chapter through collaboration, communities, and events.
- Work closely with the IT Lead and other Chapter Leads as the Chapter Lead role continues to develop.
People & HR.
- Take responsibility for HR-related processes such as recruitment, onboarding, and performance cycles.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to chapter members.
- Build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to creating a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
Profile
We are looking for a senior technical professional who is ready to take the next step towards leadership. You bring:
- Strong experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a closely related technical domain.
- Hands-on experience with a relevant part of the Microsoft BI / Data Engineering stack.
- Experience working in a DevOps and/or Agile environment.
- A genuine interest in coaching, mentoring, and developing other professionals.
- The ability to provide constructive feedback and have open, honest conversations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
- The ambition to develop further as a people leader.
- A calm, approachable, and thoughtful communication style that works well within a technical team.
