For a specialized consultancy firm in public space management, we are looking for an Inspector Green & Public Space. You will work for various municipalities and other clients. You will work independently but will also be part of a close-knit and informal team where colleagues have a lot of freedom to perform their work autonomously. You will receive an extensive onboarding program, shadow an experienced inspector, and follow the official CROW training to become a visual inspector.
You will work with modern equipment, good clothing, and a representative company car. Furthermore, you will have a professional tablet with specially developed inspection software and all the tools you need to perform your work efficiently.
What you do
- Start the workday from home or go directly to the first project location
- Visit various municipalities and project locations
- Assess the quality of green areas and public spaces
- Check for leaves on the street, maintenance of plant beds, mowed grass, emptied bins, and pruning activities
- Record findings using a professional tablet and user-friendly software
- Evaluate various contractors
- Monitor the quality of maintenance to ensure public spaces remain clean, safe, and attractive for residents and users
- Learn, during an onboarding program, how to perform inspections, assess quality levels, and work according to national CROW guidelines
Profile
- MBO-3 or MBO-4 working and thinking level
- A background in green sector, for example as a gardener, landscaper, green foreman, or a similar role
- Starters with a completed green education are also welcome
- Experience as an inspector is not required; you will be fully trained
- Enjoys working independently and takes responsibility
- Is accurate but always maintains an overview
- Prefers working outdoors a lot
- Driving license B
- Preferably lives in the region where the assignments take place
