Assistant Store Manager

• You are responsible for one of two specializations: Process & Goods Processing or Customer & Commerce.
• As a Process & Goods Processing specialist, you lead the department that ensures well-organized processes, a stocked, and clean store.
• As a Customer & Commerce specialist, you focus on the commercial plan and alignment with customer needs, and you lead colleagues in the fresh produce and checkout departments.
• You work with your team to achieve goals and celebrate successes together.
• You are a decisive, results-oriented, and people-focused leader.
• You stimulate colleagues and give them the freedom to think about their department and the store.
• You develop team members and foster collaboration for a pleasant working atmosphere.
• You ensure that the branch achieves set goals regarding turnover, shrinkage, and customer and employee satisfaction.
• You empower colleagues and utilize their talents.
• You identify commercial opportunities and act on them, for example by adding local products or contributing to local initiatives.
• You also operationally support the team to identify needs.
• You are responsible for optimal team staffing, including development talks and recruitment of new colleagues.

What they ask

• A higher professional education (HBO) diploma. With an MBO 4 (vocational education level 4) or HAVO (senior general secondary education) diploma, an assessment may be part of the procedure.
• A reliable and inspiring leader, demonstrating empathy and commitment.

• Ability to translate your own vision into concrete steps.
• Experience in leading large groups of colleagues.
