Compliance Officer

For a large financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer. In this role, you will make an important contribution to strengthening an ethical organizational culture and increasing compliance awareness. You will work independently from the second line and advise management and various stakeholders on conduct, integrity, and relevant laws and regulations.

You will have the freedom to translate complex compliance issues into practical solutions and concrete improvements within the organization.

What you will do.

• Advise on compliance issues related to conduct and integrity, including SpeakUp, conflicts of interest, codes of conduct, insider trading, the banking oath, and remuneration policy.
• Conduct independent investigations into conduct incidents and compliance monitoring.
• Translate laws and regulations, including Wft, CRD IV/V, EBA Guidelines, and directives from AFM and DNB, into concrete policy frameworks and advice.
• Develop and provide awareness sessions, dilemma training, workshops, and e-learnings.
• Contribute to integrity risk analyses (SIRA), Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA), and improvement measures.
• Prepare clear reports and advice for management and supervisory authorities.
• Collaborate with the first line to structurally strengthen compliance awareness and ethical conduct.

What they ask for.

• Extensive experience as a Compliance Officer within the financial sector, preferably in a banking environment.
• Demonstrable experience within the second line (2nd Line of Defence).
• Knowledge of relevant financial laws and regulations and supervisory frameworks.
• The ability to translate complex regulations into practical advice and solutions.
• Excellent command of the Dutch language.

Preferences.

• Experience with SIRA, RCSA, integrity investigations, and developing compliance awareness.
