An enthusiastic Healthcare Psychologist is sought for the Psychiatry department of an academic medical center. This is a versatile position combining diagnostics, treatment, and education within an academic setting. You will work with both clinical and outpatient patients and be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team. A large group of patients in this role are from the Pregnancy and Psychiatry clinic, where you work with (expectant) mothers and their babies.
This makes the work particularly valuable: you contribute directly to the well-being of both mother and child in a crucial and often vulnerable phase of their lives. Supporting and strengthening the early parent-child relationship makes this role not only challenging in content but also personally meaningful.
What you do
- Approximately half of your time is dedicated to diagnostics, such as second opinions for complex psychiatric cases and conducting intelligence, neuropsychological, and personality research.
- The other half consists of treatment, both individually and in groups.
- We work from various reference frameworks, such as CBT, IPT, EMDR, and ACT, suitable for both outpatient and (day) clinical settings. The strength lies in a tailored approach.
- There is an opportunity to further specialize in Infant Mental Health (IMH).

Profile
- You are a Healthcare Psychologist with both a sharp clinical and a critically scientific perspective.
- You are resilient and enjoy collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- You preferably have an affinity for transferring knowledge and experience and are keen to contribute to the training of co-assistants, resident doctors, and psychology interns.
- Experience in Infant Mental Health (IMH) is a plus. If this expertise is lacking, opportunities for further development and specialization are provided.
