You contribute to combating crime and making society safer by obtaining missing pieces of the puzzle in criminal investigations. You will work within a specialized team that implements legal powers for digital intrusion. This team operates at the request of investigation teams both domestically and internationally.
What you will do.
- Perform shielded digital intrusion operations on suspects' systems and devices.
- Devise and develop methods for undetected infiltration.
- Further develop discovered vulnerabilities into a proof of concept.
- Utilize IT security knowledge and creativity to find intrusion methods.
- Collaborate closely with a research & development cluster to develop tools and exploits.
- Ensure that developed tools and exploits are practical and effective.
- Collaborate with other investigation teams to combine different disciplines and methods.
- Gather information about suspects and automated work for operations.
- Assess the feasibility and risks of operations.
- Advise involved parties, such as the public prosecutor's office, based on preliminary reconnaissance.
- Perform investigative actions after intrusion, such as establishing identifying data and recording data.
- Meticulously record all actions for evidence in criminal investigations.
- Account for irregular working hours and an on-call arrangement due to the dynamic nature of investigations.
Profile
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and the ability to use these skills offensively.
- Flexible and solution-oriented in an unpredictable environment.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Careful and precise in handling evidence.
- Able to document plans and executed work in a traceable manner.
- HBO (bachelor) working and thinking level, preferably in the ICT field.
- No objection to following (partially mandatory) internal training courses.
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

- Independently analyze complex systems and develop methods/techniques to infiltrate systems using known and unknown vulnerabilities.
- Independently develop scripts and software to execute and support digital intrusion operations.
- Knowledge and experience with multiple programming languages.
- Preferably one or more professional certificates (e.g., SANS, Offensive Security).
