An organization is looking for an experienced Marshalling Yard Quality Inspector to perform inspection activities on behalf of its clients in the Netherlands. The assignment involves offshore wind and structural fabrication.
What you do
- Perform structural/fabrication inspections.
- Oversee welding/NDT.
- Perform coating inspections.
- Conduct dimensional checks.
- Monitor ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) surveillance.
- Prepare quality reports.
What they ask
- GWO Wind Safety / Basic Safety Training certificate.
- CSWIP 3.2 / AWS SCWI or equivalent.
- PCN Level II NDT or equivalent.
- FROSIO / NACE coating inspection or equivalent.
- Structural/mechanical HNC/HND or relevant craft qualification.
- Experience with offshore wind foundations, monopiles, and/or transition pieces.
- Experience working to DNV / NORSOK standards.
- A Mechanical Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering or graduate from high school in relevant branches).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Offshore Inspector, with inspection experience at the vendor’s premises. This may cover daily inspections or short-term/long-term project inspections on behalf of clients or third-party inspections.
- Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports.
- Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients.
- The inspector or the company should be able to invoice the service as a freelancer or part of an inspector agency/society.
