Translate new ideas and concepts from production services into concrete technical proposals.
- Investigate technical feasibility and various design possibilities.
- Visualize concepts using initial sketches and refine them into elaborate designs.
- Design industrial installations, taking into account input from various stakeholders.
- Independently create 2D drawings and 3D models according to applicable standards and technical specifications.
- Further elaborate designs to a detailed level when the project requires it.
- Transfer elaborated concepts to project teams, including a clear drawing package and technical explanation.
What you will do.
- Regularly consult with production services to identify technical needs and improvement opportunities.
- Present and explain designs to various stakeholders.
- Process feedback and adjust designs where necessary.
- Regularly be present on the production floor to review existing installations and test designs against practice.
P&ID Management.
- Systematically eliminate the existing backlog in P&ID updates.
- Follow up on new requests from internal production departments.
- Update P&IDs and ensure that technical documentation is always correct and up-to-date.
- Perform field checks to verify changes to existing installations.
- Correctly process identified changes in the existing P&ID documentation.
Profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably electromechanics, mechanics, or an equivalent education.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a technical drafter-designer within an industrial production environment.
- You have knowledge of industrial installations, such as piping, pumps, tanks, fittings, and constructions.
- You understand how industrial installations function in practice and can translate the existing situation into correct technical drawings.
- You can independently create 2D drawings and 3D models, from initial sketch to elaborated concept.
- You have experience with reading, creating, and updating P&IDs, including processing findings from field checks.
- You have good knowledge of at least one common 3D CAD package, such as Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, or Plant 3D.
- You can work proficiently with AutoCAD or an equivalent 2D drawing package.
