The residents of a sheltered living institution have a long history of addiction, psychiatric problems, and social exclusion. They deserve a supervisor who stands by them, especially when things get complicated. This position offers the opportunity to make a real impact.
What you will do. As a Personal Supervisor, you are responsible for the guidance trajectory of several residents. You build a professional relationship, provide structure, and help residents progress step by step. Your tasks include:
- Drawing up and evaluating guidance plans together with residents
- Translating the guidance plan into clear guidelines for the team and monitoring its implementation
- Intensive collaboration with residential supervisors, therapists, and other external professionals
- Creating a safe, stable, and predictable living environment
- Guiding residents with complex psychiatric problems, addiction issues, and disinhibited behavior
- Discussing behavior in a respectful, clear, and professional manner
You work recovery-oriented. Small victories, such as a resident keeping an appointment or maintaining a daily structure, make this work special.
Profile
You are someone who remains calm when situations become tense. You know how to set clear boundaries, without losing sight of the person behind the behavior. In addition:
- You have a completed HBO education, preferably Social Work
- You have knowledge of or affinity with psychiatry and addiction care
- You can analyze behavior and act professionally in complex situations
- You work independently and actively seek collaboration
- You are proactive, systematic, and maintain an overview
- You know how to motivate residents, even when progress seems small
- You are flexible to work irregular shifts
- You are a Christian (Catholic, Protestant, etc.) and can explain what that means to you
- A positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required
Practical
You work in a dedicated multidisciplinary team and have intensive contact with, among others, mental health therapists and addiction care services. Together, you ensure that residents receive the guidance they need.
