Environmental Law Case Manager

As an environmental law case manager, you are the first point of contact for initiators applying for an environmental permit with a municipal organization. With the Environmental Act, the focus has shifted from assessing applications to co-thinking and advising to enable initiatives.

What you will do.

• Be the first point of contact for residents and initiators with questions about an environmental permit
• Brainstorm the best route for obtaining a permit
• Process single and multiple applications
• Assess applications
• Evaluate the quality and coherence of received advice
• Monitor the progress and quality of the process
• Contribute ideas in project groups

What they ask

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor level in construction or legal fields
• Minimum 8 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as a case manager/permit issuer in the field of environmental law (Wabo and Omgevingswet) within a municipal organization
• Minimum 4 years of demonstrable work experience as a senior environmental permit case manager
• A demonstrably completed education as Building and Housing Inspector 1 and 2 (ABW1/ABW2)

Preferences.

• Demonstrable knowledge, training, and extensive experience in determining construction costs as a basis for calculating fees
• Demonstrable work experience with Centric Leefomgeving
• Demonstrable work experience with issuing permits for projects of 90+ homes
