Make a real difference for young children who need extra support.
- Work with children aged 6 to 8 in a safe and warm environment.
- Celebrate every step forward, no matter how small, together with the child and colleagues.
- The organization is transitioning from specialized childcare to a child service center, meaning that in addition to guidance, treatment such as speech therapy, research, and therapy will also be offered.
- Ultimately, the guidance will focus on children aged 4 to 12.
What you do
- Guide a group of up to 8 children aged 6 to 8 with an intellectual disability and/or a developmental delay.
- Contribute to their development and stimulate them throughout the day.
- Supervise activities such as play, crafts, and development-oriented exercises.
- Provide structure and safety with a daily program.
- Observe the children, signal changes, and report on these to parents and colleagues.
- Maintain contact with the children's parents.
- Develop and implement care plans for your mentor children, together with your colleagues.
- Support ADL tasks, such as changing and assisting with eating and drinking.
- Work according to the Triple-C vision, which aims for every child to participate in daily life as normally and fully as possible.
Profile
- Involved and enthusiastic, enjoys guiding children in their daily development.
- Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and takes responsibility for the group.
- Can remain calm when a child exhibits behavior that is difficult to understand.
- Considers it important to build good contact with parents and does not shy away from difficult conversations.
- Is physically resilient and can handle situations where a child reacts physically.
- Has an eye for small steps and successes and enjoys celebrating them together.
- Is flexible and enjoys contributing to the development of the location.
What they ask
- An MBO level 4 diploma in healthcare, for example Social Work, Personal Supervisor Specific Target Groups, or Social Care.
- Experience with children with an intellectual disability is a plus.
- Experience with physical resilience is important.
