Construction Site Manager

• Coordinate civil and construction projects with a focus on safety
• Prepare works, draw up work permits, and coordinate with contractors, an internal client
• Organize kick-off and toolbox meetings, plan contractors, and intervene in unsafe situations
• Control quality according to specifications, execution plans, and organizational standards
• Build trust with the project team and stakeholders
• Lead meetings, draw up site reports, and follow up on action points
• Collaborate closely with an internal client and the maintenance and process teams
• Report to the project manager and communicate transparently with all involved parties
• Monitor the progress of the construction sites
• Independently manage project administration, including quotations, purchase orders, work permits, progress statements, and cost statements
• Organize the handover and compile the as-built dossier with the project team
• Map the existing site situation and coordinate preparatory works
• Support designers with execution details and participate in constructability reviews
• Identify execution risks, propose solutions, and assist with the preparation of tender documents and the analysis of offers
• Follow up and manage minor repair and maintenance works

What they ask

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the supervision and execution of civil and construction works or site activities
• Experience in an industrial environment and with brownfield projects
• Strong focus on safety and familiar with industrial safety standards and applicable legislation
• Ability to independently read plans and interpret execution plans
• Good command of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and MS Project)
• VCA-VOL (Safety for Operational Managers) certificate is mandatory
• Fluent in Dutch and English

• Knowledge of and experience with industrial steel constructions
• Knowledge of and experience with road construction
• Experience within a company with a specific safety classification
• Knowledge of SAP, SharePoint, and drawing programs such as AutoCAD and 3D viewers
• Certificate for working with a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP)

• Assertive and possesses good practical judgment
• Reports clearly and leads site meetings efficiently
