Within a specific residential group, young adult clients with severe intellectual disabilities (EVB+) and a very intensive support need reside. Each client has their own apartment, a unique personality, and specific support requirements. This makes the work varied, challenging, and highly valuable. Clients need support workers who exude calm, provide structure, and communicate clearly.
When situations become unclear or expectations are not met, they may experience stress or emotions, potentially leading to escalations. This residential group houses four young men aged between 19 and 24. Support is provided both individually and in group settings. Day activities are largely organized within the residence, with one client attending an external day program.
For one client, all Activities of Daily Living (ADL) are fully taken over, while the other clients primarily require guidance and light supervision. The organization works according to the Triple-C methodology, focusing on understanding the needs behind behavior and building unconditional support relationships for a meaningful daily routine.
What you will do.
- Guide and support clients in their daily lives.
