In this assignment, you will develop and improve an internal security platform that makes external digital risks and vulnerabilities transparent. You will work in a technical environment where Python, data processing, secure software development, and reliable deployments are central.
What you will do. As a developer, you will work on the development and continuous improvement of an internal platform within a cybersecurity environment. This platform is used to automatically map digital assets, process data from various security sources, and identify externally visible vulnerabilities. You will ensure that the software remains reliable, scalable, secure, and easily transferable. You will collaborate closely with other IT and security specialists. Your tasks will include:
- developing, improving, and maintaining Python software for the internal security platform
- processing, parsing, normalizing, and enriching large amounts of technical and security-related data
- building and optimizing backend functionality, services, and data processes
- working with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and automated deployments

- at least a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in a technical field
- at least 5 years of demonstrable work experience with Python development

- experience with data processing, including parsing and data normalization
- demonstrable experience with software development within a security-first environment

- the number of years of demonstrable experience with Python
- experience with complex backend and data processing projects
- experience with developing services, pipelines, and backend functionality
- knowledge of the Python ecosystem, including for example pytest and httpx
- quality of developed code, documentation, version control, and CI/CD processes
Experience within a security-first organization or team is also important. Think of a CERT environment, SOC team, security consultancy, or internal security department. Experience with secure coding, DevSecOps, security guidelines, audits, compliance, and risk management aligns well with the assignment.
