You will get a temporary, challenging role within a political-administrative environment where you contribute to clear and accessible communication around the municipal council of a government organization. You organize your working method independently and determine your own working methods, approach, and planning, taking into account the meeting dates.
What you will do.
- Actively and engagingly use social media around council activities.
- Translate political topics accessibly into understandable language for residents.
- Conduct interviews with council members and ensure publication in the local newspaper.
- Write press releases and use other communication tools.
- Stimulate interaction and participation of residents and increase resident involvement.
- Advise the clerk and the municipal council on communication issues.
- Implement and update the communication plan for the coming year.
- Advise on the further development of the external communication of the clerk's office, including concrete recommendations for the organization and positioning of the communication field.
Profile
- Demonstrable experience as an independent communication professional, preferably in a political-administrative context.
- Political-administrative sensitivity: you understand the administrative and political context and act tactfully and environmentally aware.
- Excellent command of Dutch, both written and spoken.
- A proactive, independent, flexible, and results-oriented working method.
- Availability to attend meetings (partly in the evening).
