Legal Advisor

Illuminate comprehensive or legally complex tax law cases from all angles.

• Maintain the legal standard within the team.
• Advise the management team and colleagues on legal issues.
• Support judges in the preparation and handling of complex cases, often in multi-judge chambers.
• Manage the handling of cases and draft concept rulings.
• Advise the management team, judges, court lawyers, and administrative staff on specialized legal issues.
• Closely follow developments in (European) legislation and jurisprudence of the highest judicial instance.
• Share knowledge through notes and internal courses.
• Propose improvements to processes and guidelines.
• Contribute to a just society by enabling judges to make a difference for litigants, supporting the management team in operational decisions, and ensuring quality work from the team.

What they ask

• A university degree in tax law and extensive knowledge of tax law.
• Several years of experience writing notes and/or rulings.
• Experience chairing meetings and giving substantive courses, or the motivation to take on these activities.
• Insight into the legal-administrative processes required for smooth court proceedings.
• A good command of Dutch.

Preferences.

• Experience with strategic case planning, advice, and guidance is a plus.
