Assistant Credit Controller
You will contribute to the careful assessment of new relationships. You will help maintain reliable and up-to-date customer data, closely monitor risk parameters, and signal deviations in a timely manner. You will share your findings with senior colleagues and liaise with colleagues within Finance and the business to complete information and properly interpret risks.
The role involves supporting the assessment of new relationships, monitoring the reliability of customer data, and monitoring credit risks within the established risk appetite. You will clearly identify trends, deviations, and risks and contribute to risk, customer data, and management reports that support decision-making. Additionally, you will prepare documentation, advise managers on the application of existing procedures and precedents, and signal non-compliance with policies, procedures, or regulations.
Where necessary, you will report and escalate deviations.
What you will do.
- Support the careful assessment of new relationships by collecting, verifying, and analyzing relevant customer and financial data.
- Check customer data for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness, and signal deviations promptly.
- Monitor risk parameters and credit risks, identify deviations, and report on them to senior colleagues.
- Support the analysis and assessment of whether credit risks fall within the established risk appetite.
- Collect and analyze data to gain insight into trends, patterns, and risks within relationships and the customer portfolio.
- Contribute to clear risk, customer data, and management reports to support decision-making.
- Translate analyses into substantiated recommendations and advise managers on the application of existing procedures and precedents.
- Prepare documentation and reports, and carefully summarize the necessary customer and risk data.
- Signal, report, and, where necessary, escalate non-compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or codes of conduct.
- Contribute to improving processes and systems for reliable customer data and controlled credit risks.

Profile
- A completed HBO or WO education in Finance, Business Economics, Risk Management, Data Analysis, or a comparable field.
- Between one and three years of relevant work experience within credit risk, compliance, customer acceptance, or a similar analytical function.
- Knowledge of risk management, risk analysis, and financial processes.
- Experience with collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting data and recognizing patterns, trends, and deviations.
- Proficiency in risk and scenario analysis, forecasting, statistical techniques, and formulating substantiated recommendations.
- Experience with database, reporting, and analysis tools.
- Good command of Excel and other common office software.
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Good communication skills in both English and Dutch.
- Ability to easily interact with various internal stakeholders.
