Design and model complex piping systems for large-scale recycling installations. You will translate P&IDs into safe, maintenance-friendly 3D piping layouts for installations that convert plastic waste into reusable raw materials. You will work with Autodesk Plant 3D on projects that directly contribute to the energy transition and a cleaner industry, including clash detection, isometrics, support plans, and as-built documentation. The client is a multidisciplinary technical service provider with national coverage.
They are active in a wide variety of markets, including building installations, (heavy) industry, water, and infrastructure. The company is divided into a project organization and a service and maintenance club, supported by a large engineering department.
What you do
- Design and model piping in 3D using Plant 3D
- Translate P&IDs into practical, safe, and maintenance-friendly piping designs
- Create isometrics, piping layouts, and support plans
- Select piping components based on specifications and process requirements
- Check for clash detections and adjust routing where necessary
- Coordinate the design with other disciplines (process, construction, E&I)
- Process revisions and design changes throughout the project
- Prepare material lists, piping specifications, and complete drawing packages
- Support the construction phase with technical input and as-built drawings
What they ask
- Minimum of an MBO or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Demonstrable experience as a Piping Designer within the industry
- Extensive experience with 3D design software Plant 3D
- Familiarity with relevant standards and guidelines such as ASME, EN
- Able to work independently, accurately
- Communicatively skilled in coordinating with other disciplines
