For a government organization, we are looking for committed and decisive site managers for the reception of displaced persons.

In this role, you visibly contribute to the safety, stability, and well-being of people who had to leave their homes.
You work in an environment where you make a direct social impact, every day.
The reception center operates 24/7, meaning support is sometimes also needed in the evenings and weekends.

What you do

Maintain an overview of daily operations at the location.
Be the first point of contact for residents for practical and social questions.
Encourage residents to be self-reliant and take control of their own lives.
Actively contribute to a positive and safe atmosphere at the location.
Identify specific issues and take immediate action in case of incidents.
Collaborate with colleagues and various chain partners in the fields of education, care, welfare, and day activities.
Record daily reports and escalate in a timely manner to the site manager or project leader.
Work based on a schedule and often be present independently at a location, with fixed consultation moments within the team.

What they ask

Valid BHV certificate (emergency response in the workplace) or willingness to obtain it quickly.
Ability to provide a VOG (certificate of good conduct).

Flexible in dealing with varying working hours.
Have good 'antennae' and know how to respond to sensitive culturally sensitive situations.
Digitally skilled and accurate in reporting.
Show initiative, be able to collaborate well, and dare to make independent decisions.
Be integer, empathetic, and culturally sensitive, and quickly build trust with diverse target groups.
Be practical, solution-oriented, and stress-resistant.
Be good at planning and organizing.
Excellent command of the Dutch language and speak English at a reasonable to good level.
