A government organization is responsible for creating the topographical maps of the Netherlands. For this process, ESRI mapping software and spatial analysis software are used, for both desktop and enterprise applications, in combination with custom tooling. The server and workstation applications for this are managed by a team. The organization is also involved in digital autonomy, which plays a major role within the team.
Efforts are being made to increase autonomy and reduce dependence on countries outside Europe. You will contribute to discussions on data sovereignty and assist with the migration of current software packages to alternative software not originating from non-European countries. Your contribution is necessary to ensure the continuity of management, operation, and further development of the facilities. The team works according to the Scrum methodology.
What you will do.
- Set up and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments
- Set up and optimize other back-end applications and websites
- Build and manage C# /.Net server and workstation applications
- Build and manage FME applications
- Manage Oracle and PostgreSql databases and Windows servers
- Set up and manage monitoring using Grafana and Prometheus
- Set up and manage backup and disaster recovery strategy using Commvault
- Handle incidents
- Contribute to knowledge building within the team
- Professionalize the development street
What they ask
- Minimum 2 years of experience with technical management of ArcGIS Enterprise
- Minimum 2 years of experience with.NET and C#
- Minimum 2 years of experience with managing PostgreSQL and/or Oracle databases
- Demonstrable experience collaborating in multidisciplinary (agile) teams and environments
- Fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken
