Assistant Store Manager

As Assistant Store Manager, you are responsible for one of our two specializations: Process & Goods Processing and Customer & Commerce. Your colleague (Assistant) Store Manager is responsible for the other side.

• The process-oriented side ensures a stocked, clean store through well-organized processes. As an Assistant Store Manager specialized in this area, you lead the Process & Goods Processing department.
• The Customer & Commerce side focuses on the commercial plan and ensures that the store meets customer demands. You lead colleagues in the fresh produce and checkout departments.
• You find it important to work with your team towards goals and celebrate successes together.
• We are looking for a decisive and results-oriented leader and a people-oriented and inspiring manager.
• You stimulate colleagues and give them the freedom to think about their department and your store themselves. Together, the best ideas emerge, and you find a solution for every challenge.

• You develop team members and promote collaboration. You are connected with your team, which ensures a pleasant working atmosphere.
• You ensure that your branch achieves the set goals. These objectives can relate to turnover, shrinkage, and customer and employee satisfaction.
• You empower colleagues and utilize their talents, for example by involving a colleague active on TikTok in the store's social media.
• You are an entrepreneur who sees opportunities and seizes them. This can be by adding local products or contributing to a neighborhood initiative.
• You are happy to roll up your sleeves and also support the team operationally. This helps you to identify the needs of your side and colleagues.
• You ensure optimal staffing in the team, being responsible for development talks and the recruitment of new colleagues.

What they ask

• You have a higher professional education (HBO) diploma. If you have an MBO 4 diploma or a HAVO diploma, we will test the HBO working and thinking level with an assessment.
• You are a reliable and inspiring leader who, through empathy and involvement, ensures that everyone feels at home.
• You are customer-oriented, decisive, and authentic, and know how to translate your own vision into concrete steps that you take together with your team.
• You already have experience in leading large groups of colleagues.
