A government organization is looking for a catering assistant to strengthen its team. You contribute to the operational readiness of the staff by providing good and healthy meals. Teamwork, reliability, hospitality, and professionalism are essential to offer a positive experience in the company restaurant.
What you will do.
- Performing preparatory tasks, such as setting up food and drinks.
- Assisting with simple kitchen tasks, such as warming up.
- Serving various dishes and drinks to visitors.
- Processing payments for meals at the cash register.
- Cleaning up the workplace and the canteen.
- Performing necessary tasks for receptions and catering for special occasions.
- Performing warehouse tasks such as replenishing stock and unpacking orders.
- Performing light administrative tasks.
- Guiding new and less experienced colleagues.
- Contributing to the smooth running of the canteen and possibly making improvement suggestions.

- Hospitable and attentive to quality and hygiene.
- A proactive person who likes to get things done.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings or weekends when necessary.
What they ask
- Minimum MBO 2 diploma in hospitality or catering, or at least three years of experience in the hospitality or catering industry.
- Good command of the Dutch language.
Preferences.
- Experience as a catering assistant at large hospitality venues or events.
- Experience with coordinating tasks and coaching colleagues.
