Warehouse Consultant
An organization is looking for an experienced Warehouse Consultant to gain control over inventory management, data quality, and warehouse processes. The professional will map the current situation, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements in inventory accuracy, item data, and system usage. Close collaboration will take place with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, and warehouse employees.
The ultimate goal is reliable inventory administration, standardized processes, and a sustainable working method.
Responsibilities.
- Analyzing current warehouse and inventory processes.
- Investigating discrepancies between physical inventory and system inventory.
- Assessing and cleaning item and master data.
- Optimizing processes related to receiving, storage, picking, and material issuance.
- Improving the setup and use of ERP and any warehouse management systems.
- Establishing a structural approach for inventory controls and cycle counting.
- Developing relevant KPIs and management reports.
- Guiding employees in the implementation of improved working methods.
Profile
- Extensive experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP systems and master data management.
- Demonstrable results in inventory optimization and inventory accuracy.
- Experience within a production or technical environment.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
- The ability to not only advise on improvements but also to actually realize them.
