Location Manager

• You are ultimately responsible for the functioning of the reception location.
• You ensure peace, structure, and a safe living environment for residents and employees.
• You constantly switch between operational issues, personnel matters, resident situations, and consultations with partners.
• You lead the on-site team and ensure clear task distribution and good cooperation.
• You are visible and approachable for employees, volunteers, cooperation partners, and residents.
• You monitor the quality, safety, and continuity of the reception.
• You ensure that agreements, procedures, and guidelines are followed.
• You actively maintain contact with the national agency for asylum seekers, social organizations, volunteer organizations, the local community, and other involved partners.
• You identify developments, bottlenecks, and possible escalations and know how to act on them in a timely manner.
• You make decisions when the situation requires it and ensure proper follow-up.
• You ensure a pleasant and professional working atmosphere within the team.
• You are the point of contact for daily operational matters at the location.
• You provide practical input for the further development and improvement of the reception.

What they ask

• Demonstrably completed HBO (higher professional education) degree.
• Demonstrably at least 4 years of recent experience in managing a diverse team.
• Demonstrably at least 1 year of recent experience with policy implementation concerning specialist groups.
• Demonstrably at least 1 year of experience as a location manager with setting up a new reception location.
• Demonstrably oral and written Dutch at a minimum B2 level.
• Demonstrably possess a valid BHV (emergency response) diploma at the start of the assignment.
• Demonstrably possess a valid VOG 45 (Healthcare and welfare of humans and animals) at the start of the assignment.
• You are flexible in tasks and working hours; your working hours are Monday to Sunday, evenings, and holidays.
• You are willing to participate in the on-call roster.

Preferences.

• Demonstrably at least 1 year of experience in a comparable role with maintaining and coordinating contacts with safety partners and local residents/environment of the location.
• Demonstrably at least 4 years of experience in managing a diverse team.
• Demonstrably at least 2 years of experience with policy implementation concerning specific target groups.
