Capacity Management Advisor
A government organization is looking for a capacity management advisor to find the optimal alignment between objectives, workload, and personnel deployment. The Planning and Capacity Management team is seeking a passionate connector who can link workload to required capacity. Capacity management is essential for employee well-being and reducing violations of the Working Hours Act (ATW).
What you do
As a capacity management advisor, you will have a hybrid role combining specialization and guidance, advising at a tactical and strategic level.
- You provide insight into capacity supply, demand, and performance agreements at various levels, enabling managers to make informed decisions.
- You advise on operational changes that impact capacity management, such as on-call duties and sudden additional deployments.
- You have an advisory role regarding long-term and medium-term deployment.
- You promote expertise, achieve set results, and manage the scheduling process.
- You play an advisory and active role in meetings, as well as in the implementation and optimization of ICT tools for capacity management.
- You contribute to innovation, for example, by making the team and processes more efficient.
- You translate annual and work plans and workload into required capacity and advise on this for the long and medium term.
- You transfer specialized knowledge and skills to colleagues.
- You provide operational guidance to planners and the scheduling process.
- You are the first point of contact for planners and conduct annual performance reviews with them.

Practical
You will work in a Planning and Capacity Management team within a regional unit, responsible for schedules and the development of capacity management. The team is spread across multiple locations but collaborates for the entire unit. The department consists of planners, senior planners, capacity management advisors, an operational management specialist, and a team leader, with a focus on diversity. You will guide planners and collaborate with fellow advisors and line management.
Formally, you will work from a planning location, but you will also be present at other internal locations.
