For a leading family business in the industrial sector, we are looking for a COO who wants to make an impact on three production sites from a strategic and operational role. What you do
As COO, you will assume broad operational responsibility and work closely with the management team and the various operational managers.
- Final responsibility for production, supply chain, maintenance, and investment projects across the three production sites
- Coach and strengthen the Plant Managers and the Group Project Manager in their leadership and responsibilities
- Translate the business strategy into a concrete and future-oriented operational policy
- Stimulate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and synergy between the different sites
- Further build a high-performing organization with clear KPIs, follow-up structures, and a strong results-oriented culture
- Increase focus on safety, quality, productivity, delivery reliability, and cost efficiency
- Guide strategic projects around automation, digitalization, sustainability, investments, and capacity development
- Optimize collaboration between sales, planning, production
- Monitor the further development of a future-proof supply chain
- Be part of the management team and actively contribute operational expertise to strategic decisions
- Report directly to the CEO
Profile
For this assignment, we are looking for an experienced manager who knows how to combine strategic vision with a strong practical mindset.
- Extensive experience in a final operational management position within an industrial or production environment
- Experience within a capital-intensive production environment is a significant asset
- Broad knowledge of production, supply chain, maintenance, and industrial investments
- Familiar with managing multiple production sites and leading operational teams
- Combines strategic insight with a strong technical and operational affinity
- Knows how to connect financial, technical, commercial, and operational interests
- A natural coach who empowers people and stimulates responsibility, while also providing clear direction
- Comfortable within a part-time management assignment where independence and impact are central
- Experienced operational leader who knows how to connect people, processes, and strategy and achieve concrete results quickly
- Very good command of Dutch
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience
