Youth Consultant

This assignment concerns the replacement of a permanent employee within a municipal organization.

• It is an embedded function with continuous core activities, where you work side-by-side under guidance and supervision.
• The role focuses on supporting families with requests for help.

What you will do.

• Schedule and conduct interviews with children, young people, and/or their parents.
• Inventory the self-reliance and participation capacity of the resident and their network.
• Develop appropriate and feasible action plans.
• Identify stakeholders and initiate actions.
• Monitor the progress and results of actions.
• Coordinate network consultations with and for young people.
• Take charge in crisis situations in collaboration with the Safety process manager.
• You will investigate the underlying causes of requests for help and, if necessary, engage support services.

What they ask for. What they ask

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
• Minimum of 1 year demonstrable work experience as a Youth Consultant within a care organization or a municipal organization.
• Valid SKJ registration, with registration number and validity period explicitly stated.
• Demonstrably in possession of a B driving license.

Preferences.

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in the field of Pedagogy, Social Work, SPH, or MWD.
• Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience as a Youth Consultant within a care organization or municipal organization.
• Demonstrable knowledge of and work experience with the Youth Act (Jeugdwet).
• Demonstrable knowledge of and work experience with the Participation Act (Participatiewet) and Wmo.
• Demonstrable work experience with independently handling youth casework within a municipal organization.
