Security Guard

The surveillance and security organization of a national security organization is looking for a new colleague to strengthen its team.

  • You contribute to the protection of important interests, people, and equipment at various locations.
  • You will be continuously trained by experienced instructors, including in the use of force.
  • You will receive an excellent salary including an allowance for irregular services and an Individual Choice Budget (IKB).

What you will do.

  • Patrol locations.
  • Observe irregularities and monitor camera footage.
  • Identify suspicious situations and act effectively when necessary.
  • Respond to alarms and use force if the situation requires it.
  • Perform access controls and ensure that only authorized persons gain access.
  • Operate access systems.
  • Provide support during emergencies within the organization's units.

What they ask for.

  • An MBO 2 Security diploma.
  • Preferably previous work experience in security or as a military.
  • Dutch nationality.
  • Physically fit, actively engage in sports, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • You can seamlessly participate in 5-shift services (day/evening/night and weekend shifts).
  • In possession of a B driving license (manual) and own transport for commuting.

  • Good social and communication skills (Dutch in word and writing).
  • Mentally strong, you remain calm and maintain an overview, even in stressful situations.
  • Vigilant, strong in detecting and assessing situations, and quick to react.
  • You dare to take immediate action when necessary.
  • Disciplined, you master and effectively apply protocols and procedures.
  • An integral team player, because guarding and securing is a collaborative effort.

Practical

  • The first few weeks you will work unarmed in continuous service.
  • Before working armed, new employees follow an internal training (INI) of approximately 20 weeks, of which 5 weeks are internal at a training location.
  • During the training, you will receive, among other things, Integral Professional Skills Training and learn to professionally handle means of force such as a service weapon (pistol), baton, and handcuffs.
  • A security screening and possibly a reference check are part of the selection procedure.
  • A stability measurement also takes place, which assesses your stress resistance and psychological resilience.
  • You are willing to take the oath or promise for civilian employees of the organization.
