Recruitment Advisor Matching Officer

The Recruitment Advisor (Matching Officer) translates recruitment needs, in consultation with applicants, into successful candidate placements. You coordinate, search, assess, and select suitable professionals, liaise with suppliers and applicants, and ensure an efficient and transparent recruitment process. As a Recruitment Desk, we are responsible for staffing the entire organization.

You help shape recruitment further so that it aligns well with the ambitions of a government organization and the practical challenges. The Recruitment Desk plays a key role in providing the temporary expertise and capacity needed to maintain all our assets. You contribute to the continuous improvement of the recruitment process and the entire recruitment chain and can effectively switch between different tasks and priorities, including necessary administrative tasks to safeguard the recruitment process.

Our team of approximately 25 colleagues, including two coordinating colleagues within the department, achieves excellent results with a new vendor management system and increasingly better reports, but there is still plenty to do.

What you will do.

  • You translate recruitment needs from applicants into successful candidate placements
  • You liaise with suppliers and applicants
  • You contribute to improvements in the recruitment process and the chain
  • You are the advisor for the business regarding temporary staffing needs
  • Based on available data, you identify opportunities for improvement in the recruitment process and actively discuss these within the team and with the steering committee
  • You work according to the principles of lean and continuous improvement: you participate in daily stand-ups and improvement initiatives and enjoy making the work process smarter and more customer-oriented step by step with colleagues
  • You appreciate the variety between collaboration, advising, and reflection: sometimes you are deeply involved in the planning and prioritization of your (shared) portfolio, other times you participate in the daily stand-up or help a colleague to handle a peak in workload
  • You communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders and know how to present your insights in a way that leads to action
  • You search, assess, and select suitable professionals
  • You ensure an efficient and transparent recruitment process
  • You contribute to the continuous improvement of the recruitment process and the entire recruitment chain
  • You can effectively switch between different tasks and priorities, including necessary administrative tasks to safeguard the recruitment process

  • You work within the Recruitment Desk, part of a team of approximately 25 FTE divided into steering, advisors, and management & support
  • You support clients with appropriate assistance for their personnel and recruitment needs
  • You assist in identifying and processing extensions, mutations, and other administrative changes
  • You efficiently and proactively support the client throughout the entire recruitment process

  • You are equally happy to roll up your sleeves in operations as you are to work on future improvement steps
  • You see the details in needs but do not lose sight of the overall policy and agreements, and you translate signals from the business into comprehensive advice

What they ask

  • Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, gained through education and/or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience within a recruitment desk or a similar environment

Preferences.

  • Experience with Netive, the digital recruitment solution of a government organization
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) for external recruitment
  • Ability to efficiently support VMS processes and make optimal use of available functionalities
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with relevant laws and regulations within the labor market and recruitment chain, including Wet DBA, WTTA, SNA/NEN 4400, WAADI, and the ABU collective labor agreement
  • Ability to correctly apply these laws and regulations and assess their consequences for recruitment and contract processes
