You will be working for a municipal organization that highly values sustainability. The organization manages a large public space with a green character. The Management team, consisting of approximately 80 people divided into 4 teams, is responsible for managing the physical public space. The atmosphere within the team is informal, with short lines of communication and a focus on mutual help and individual responsibility.
What you do
- Advise on various environmental requests and projects for the intake and environmental tables, the Environmental Permitting (Wabo), and for project leaders.
- Act as a sparring partner for the management director, project leaders, and case managers.
- Form the link between environmental requests and projects in the outdoor space and management, ensuring integrality.
- Perform supporting activities for the green, sports, and play department.
- Organize participation, both reactive and proactive.
- Be the point of contact for residents and interest groups with new initiatives.
- Review permit applications related to green management.
- Advise colleagues within the green department.
- Ensure good information and communication.
- Establish frameworks for design and projects.
- Elaborate on more complex questions from residents, management, and the organization.
- Be responsible for the assessment and delivery of projects and the input of revision data.
- Ensure that projects are transferred and recorded in the management system.
- Initiate improvement proposals based on vision and policy in relation to practice.
- Make calculations for the assessment of designs where necessary and create small designs.
- Provide input for strategic policy.
- Actively contribute to collaboration with external parties such as provinces, water boards, and other organizations.
What they ask
- Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level through a relevant vocational education and relevant work experience in green management.
Preferences.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in green management.
- Relevant experience within a municipal organization.
- Experience with advising on green management at the intake and environmental table.
- Knowledge of the Wabo.
Practical
- Proficiency in the Dutch language is required.
