Military Satellite Network Operator

As a civilian within a defense organization, you contribute to the safety of the country. You fulfill an essential role in the management and monitoring of networks at OSI layers 1 and 2.
What you do
- Set up satellite connections for operational units worldwide.
- Handle 1st line incidents and changes, including receiving, registering, and resolving low-complexity questions/issues.
- Responsible for the continuity of military satellite networks in a continuous service (24/7 shift work).
- Support by configuring various network components.
- Assist with changes in systems and/or software.
- Monitor active satellite connections and react reactively/proactively to disruptions, possibly in collaboration with 2nd/3rd line experts.
What they ask
- Completed MBO-4 education (equivalent to vocational education level 4), preferably in ICT or telecommunications.
- Knowledge of networks.
- CCNA is a plus.
- Proficiency in the English language.

- Knowledge of IT service delivery within defense organizations.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, security, and an activity registration system.
- Communicative, customer-oriented, and able to act quickly and adequately.
