Payment Expert

A consulting firm is looking for an expert in international payments for a permanent position.

• The role involves analyzing and improving payment processes.

What you will do.

• Analyze and improve payment processes to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce friction, and improve speed, accuracy, transparency, and straight-through processing (STP).
• Conduct business and process analysis, identifying root causes of operational inefficiencies and proposing practical solutions.
• Coordinate project activities, manage dependencies, and ensure on-time and in-scope delivery.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and AI teams.

What they ask

• Strong written and spoken communication skills in French and English are mandatory; Dutch is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in international payments, business and process analysis, and change management.
• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong expertise in international payment flows, covering the complete lifecycle from initiator to final beneficiary, including cross-border and FX payments.
• Experience with process modeling tools, creating flowcharts, mapping workflows, and documenting end-to-end business processes.
• Good knowledge of process improvement methodologies, workflow optimization, and operational excellence.
• Good understanding of IT architecture.
• Good expertise in MS Office and data analytics.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Interest or experience in AI-driven solutions for optimizing end-to-end international payment processes is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with relevant stakeholders.
