Test Coordinator Test Automation Engineer
You will work for a government organization dedicated to national security. You will be part of a System Team within an Agile Release Train (ART) in a dedicated hardware test lab. This team tests complete suites of components delivered by internal development teams. You will be the connecting link between developers, testers, and the lab infrastructure. You will be responsible for defining, automating, and monitoring the test strategy for critical applications.
You will ensure smooth planning, setup, and execution of both manual and automated tests that are operationally relevant and repeatable under realistic conditions.
What you will do.
- Develop a Detailed Test Plan (DTP): translate functional and technical requirements into concrete test cases, define the test environment, data needs, and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize test cases using a risk-based testing matrix in consultation with Product Owners and the Product Manager.
- Set up, maintain, and expand test automation for integrated software suite tests with hardware in the loop (HIL).
- Execute and monitor test cases (manual and automated).
- Perform load and stress tests.
- Report test results: deliver clear, structured test reports and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement of test processes.
- Elevate the quality and delivery reliability of products so that the ART can deliver faster, more reliably, and more efficiently.
What they ask Education & certification.
- HBO (higher professional education) level of thinking and working experience.
- At least one of the following certifications: ISTQB (Advanced level) and/or TMAP (Quality for Cross-Functional Teams).
Work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in setting up, planning, and executing test trajectories for technically complex, newly developed products.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and reporting test results to various stakeholders within Agile work environments.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in designing a complete test strategy.
Technical skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of, and practical experience with, one or more automation frameworks.
Desired additional knowledge.
- Experience within a national defense organization, NATO partners, or with defense suppliers.
- Experience with C# for developing and maintaining test automation.
