The role is split into two main tasks: civil supervisor and civil implementation coordinator. The civil supervisor task focuses on the daily guidance and control of the execution of works related to ground improvement and residential development, based on various contract forms (predominantly RAW). Coordinating/aligning residential development activities with various civil and construction contractors, in close consultation with the project director, construction coordinator, and utilities coordinator.
The client is a project bureau responsible for initiating and implementing new construction plans for an area development, in collaboration with a municipal organization and real estate developers. The preparation and construction of the outdoor space are carried out on behalf of the project bureau based on its own designs and elaborations per sub-area, and are realized through specifications and (innovative) contracts.
After initial delivery, the sub-areas are maintained for a considerable period by the project bureau, after which the public space is transferred to the municipal organization for management and maintenance. You will be part of the civil team of the project bureau, which includes a civil advisor, a design leader, a utilities coordinator, a (temporary) manager, a project director, and supervisors. The civil team is built around self-reliant professionals, each with their own field of responsibility.
What you do
- Control whether a contractor executes the work in accordance with the contract

- Process specification administration in accordance with the RAW system
- Initially assess additional, reduced, and extra work
- Signal and report on implementation risks and opportunities during preparation and execution
- Adequately signal and adjust if the working method, in relation to environmental aspects, ARBO, (technical) quality, equipment deployment, and/or the contract is not delivered/cannot be delivered
- Substantively review products prepared by contractors within the framework of UAVGC contracts
- Attend progress meetings and construction meetings, including their reporting
- Replace the project director and area manager/construction coordinator in their absence
- Manage and coordinate civil contractors during execution
- Align/plan all civil works with various developers/construction contractors, the environment, and other stakeholders
- Monitor the implementation schedule and signal risks
- Timely and sufficient alignment within the civil team, thereby managing all interfaces of your work with other relevant execution and management tasks within that team
- Timely and correct delivery of all information required for the coordinator and the client role of the project director
- Reporting of relevant meetings and consultations
- Act as a professional client in guiding and managing consultants and contractors regarding residential development
- Advise the client on changes in the work

- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a civil supervisor and/or construction and utilities coordinator and/or area manager
- Demonstrably in possession of a valid VCA-VOL certificate
