Work Supervisor Metalwork

Guide prisoners in a workshop where production work and skilled labor, such as metalworking, are performed. Ensure meaningful daily activities and preparation for successful reintegration into society.

What you will do.

• Guide and motivate a group of up to 24 prisoners during their activities in a workshop or workroom
• Ensure that work is performed correctly and that all products are completed on time for customer orders
• Encourage prisoners to perform their work well and stay motivated
• Conduct firm discussions and set clear boundaries
• Take the lead and ensure rules are followed, while supporting prisoners in their development
• Prepare the workroom and distribute tasks
• Provide explanations, answer questions, and assist when necessary
• Supervise safety at entrances and exits of workplaces, including tool checks, and intervene in case of disturbances or misconduct
• Perform administrative tasks, such as ordering goods, sending invoices, and tracking worked hours
• Conduct progress interviews with prisoners about their development
• Maintain contact with customers to ensure products and assignments meet agreed standards

• Demonstrable MBO 4 (intermediate vocational education level 4) work and thinking level in a technical direction or metalworking
• Some experience working in production, maintenance, logistics, metal, bread/pastry, woodworking, textile, or building maintenance
• Good communication skills in Dutch and preferably also in English
• Good physical and mental condition
