You support adults with a mild intellectual disability (LVB) or intellectual disability (VB) in their daily lives within a care institution.
- You help residents to be as independent as possible and respond well to different situations.
- Residents are very much part of the neighborhood; you undertake activities together in the vicinity.
What you do
- Provide guidance and support to adults with LVB/VB.
- Help residents with daily skills and light ADL (Activities of Daily Living).
- Offer structure, clarity, and predictability.
- Signal and interpret behavior.
- Work according to support plans and report.
- Work independently within a self-organizing team.
Profile
- Calm, flexible, clear, and stable.
- Able to act independently, but also actively seek collaboration with colleagues.
- Easily make contact with residents through humor and a personal approach.
What they ask
- An mbo-3 or mbo-4 diploma in Care & Welfare, for example, Supervisor, MMZ, or Social Work.
- Affinity or experience with LVB/VB.
- Able to provide structure and deal with unpredictable behavior.
- Willingness to continue to develop yourself.
- Experience with autism, behavior, mild mental health issues, Active Support, or community-oriented work is a plus.
Practical
- You work in day, evening, sleep-in, and weekend shifts.
- A day shift is from 12:00 to 21:00.
- A sleep-in shift is from 17:00 to 12:00 the next day.
- A one-year contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract.
