Cardiac Function Technician

You will work within a cardiology unit of a leading clinical hospital. This unit focuses on clinical and outpatient patient care, functional examinations, and rehabilitation. The team consists of over 25 cardiac function technicians who collaborate closely. There is also contact with cardiologists, medical assistants, and heart failure nurses. The working atmosphere is pleasant, with room for humor and enjoyment, where collaboration and mutual support are paramount.

The unit collaborates with other cardiology units, such as an intervention team, and receives patients from various departments for varied examinations.

What you will do. As a cardiac function technician, you will independently perform various cardiological functional examinations. You will often work directly with a colleague and consult with fellow technicians or the cardiologist when necessary. An important aspect is warmly welcoming patients and informing them about the examination. You will also provide psychosocial support to patients, put them at ease, answer questions, and adjust examinations as needed.

After the examination, you will process the results and findings for the cardiologist. You will work alternately in different examination rooms and sometimes in the clinic at the patient's bedside. Specific examinations include:

• Performing bicycle ergometry.
• Taking ECGs.
• Preparing patients for examinations.
• If specialized, analyzing 24-hour ECGs (holter analysis) and event recorders.
