As a Project Manager Robotics, you are responsible for the complete execution of (inter)national projects related to robotics and warehouse automation. You monitor the scope, planning, quality, and budget, ensuring that complex, client-specific solutions are delivered successfully. From the handover from sales, you take ownership and become the central point of contact for the client, internal teams, and external partners.
You work within a multidisciplinary matrix organization, collaborating with project engineers, controls engineers, PLC engineers, commissioning engineers, and suppliers, among others.
What you do
- You organize and manage automation projects from kick-off to final delivery and acceptance.
- You draw up clear and complete project plans, define milestones, and meticulously monitor the execution of tasks.
- You plan and allocate the necessary resources to ensure efficient project execution.
- You monitor budgets and invoicing and intervene promptly in case of deviations.
- You oversee the quality of deliverables, including interim validations and final acceptance.
- You monitor deadlines, anticipate changes, and prevent delays where possible.
- You track changes in scope, timing, or budget and identify contractual additional work when necessary.
- You proactively identify project risks and take appropriate measures.
- You define and monitor the success criteria for project completion.
- You maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders, manage expectations, and lead project meetings with clear reporting.
Profile
- At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably within intralogistics, industrial automation, or a similar technical project environment. A background in, for example, machine building, industrial automation, intralogistics, energy, rail, aerospace, or complex technical installations.
- Experience with larger projects, preferably with a project value of approximately €3 million or more. Experience on the executing/supplier side of projects.
- Accustomed to being solely responsible for correct, timely, and qualitative delivery to the end client.
- Combines strong communication skills with a hands-on approach and takes independent ownership of your projects.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK is a plus.
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, SAP, or other ERP systems is a plus.
