What you will do.
- Develop, implement, and secure the data governance policy
- Establish ownership, roles, and responsibilities around data
- Improve the quality, availability, and findability of data and metadata
- Translate laws and regulations into practical guidelines for the organization
- Advise on and implement tooling for data governance
- Guide the organization in increasing data maturity
- Advise management and colleagues on data quality, data policy, and information management
- Connect various teams and domains to further develop data-driven work
You will work closely with data engineers, data stewards, information advisors, functional administrators, privacy and security specialists, and colleagues from research & statistics. You will also participate in regional and national networks and working groups.

What they ask
- Completed HBO or university education in a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with data governance, information management, or a comparable role
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK
- Experience with developing policies and implementing improvements
- Good command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing
- Experience within the public sector is a plus
Practical
You will work in the organization's office. You will collaborate with approximately 40 colleagues, including functional administrators, architects, information advisors, and information managers. Within the data team, you will work together on the further development of information-driven work. There is ample room to further shape this new role and make a real impact.
