Services are provided to hospitals, care institutions, and holiday parks. The current facility consists of two locations (laundry and logistics center), with plans for new construction to house everything in one location by the end of 2027. There is an opening for a new Unit Manager due to the current manager's focus on new construction, with a smooth handover guaranteed.
The facility focuses on personal laundry, linen rental, and personal rental linen, creating a dynamic work environment. Various technical washing production processes are carried out (chemical, thermal, mechanical), from the receipt of used laundry to the dispatch of clean goods. The team consists of approximately 100 FTEs in production, transport, technical service, and administration.
What you do
The Unit Manager is responsible for achieving the unit's output and results within the set quality and minimum cost requirements related to machine, consumption, personnel, and energy costs, among others. You will lead a unit with a complex production and logistics process.
- Develop annual plan and optimize processes
- Realize the approved annual plan
- Resource management: availability and reliability of technical installations, budget consumption, maintaining contacts with external suppliers, internal logistics, waste separation
- Relationship management and account management: ultimately responsible for the agreed service level with the client and monitoring it, regular consultation with the relevant account manager regarding progress and services
- Personnel management: ensure qualitative and quantitative staffing, motivation and guidance, appraisal and performance reviews, absenteeism, ensure a safe working environment, develop creative solutions for the challenges of a tight labor market
- Reporting and accountability: accurate submission of data regarding production figures, energy, irregularities
- Actively contribute to the further development of the organization and the new construction plans
- Report to the Operations Manager

- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
- Several years of demonstrable work experience in a similar managerial role in a production environment
- Technical experience or demonstrable affinity with technology, important given the complexity of the processes and the new construction project
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Sense of responsibility, results-oriented, customer-focused, proactive attitude, and problem-solving ability
- Driving license B
