Together with colleagues from the Platforms production line, you manage the equipment and systems that store data used by thousands of employees within a large public organization. The organization is continuously working to improve its services. Hardware must always be available and meet the latest security requirements. An important part of the storage solutions is NetApp, primarily used for file-based storage (SMB and NFS). You contribute directly to the organization's work in the Netherlands.
The platforms form the stable foundation on which all employees rely. Any disruptions can have major consequences.
What you do
- Monitoring systems and performing health checks, analyses, and improvements.
- Coordinating incidents, performing problem and performance analyses, and implementing solutions.
- Developing and executing standard and custom changes based on capacity, lifecycle, or hardening issues, performed according to ITIL within a Scrum/Agile methodology.
- Taking the lead in new initiatives and support trajectories.
- Reactive management.
- Taking the lead in larger projects related to lifecycle management, capacity expansions, and renewal projects from roadmap to delivery.
- Automating operational tasks through scripting.
- Proposing, developing, and implementing improvements.
- Inventorying and managing security risks in collaboration with the Security Officer.
- Collaborating with other departments.
What they ask
- Solid ICT knowledge with a strong focus on NetApp Storage (ONTAP).
- General knowledge of backup, operating systems, networks, and automation/scripting.
- Extensive work experience in the field.
- Ability to function as a connecting factor between different disciplines.
- Experience in organizing collaboration with other departments when necessary.
- Agreement with a type BO+ screening.
Preferences.
- A NetApp NCDA or NCIE certification (experience is more important).
- Knowledge of Brocade SAN Administrator.
- Knowledge of HPE Primera / Alletra.
- Knowledge of Commvault Professional Foundation.
- Knowledge of Spectra BlackPearl.
- Experience with Agile working and Scrum.
