Then this position as a personal supervisor at a care organization is for you. In your work, it's not about "caring for," but about looking together at what someone needs to live as well as possible. At a care organization, clients live in small residential homes, spread throughout the neighborhoods.
Each home accommodates an average of 8 to 16 clients with similar support needs. This allows guidance to be truly tailored to the target group and the intensity of care. During the introductory meeting, it will be determined which target group, home, and care need best suit your experience, strengths, and preferences.
What you do
As a personal supervisor, you are the fixed point of contact for clients with an intellectual disability and an intensive support need.
- You provide structure, safety, and clarity in daily life and look beyond just the care need or behavior.
- You draw up support plans together with the client and their network and coordinate the care around them.
- You look beyond behavior and connect with what someone truly needs, even when it is not immediately visible.
- You guide clients who, for example, deal with:
- difficult-to-understand behavior;
- autism or sensory sensitivity;
- somatic or aging-related care needs;
- a combination of behavioral and intensive care needs.
What they ask
- A completed mbo-4 or hbo degree in care or welfare (e.g., MMZ, SPW, SPH, Social Work, Pedagogy, or Nursing).
- Experience in care for people with disabilities, intensive care, mental health care (GGZ), youth care, or elderly care is a plus, but motivation is at least as important.
- You are resilient and maintain calm in complex situations.
- You can observe well, switch gears, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- You find it challenging to work with intensive support needs.
Practical
