Business Unit Manager

What you do

  • Ultimately responsible for the entire operational functioning of a production facility
  • Ultimate responsibility for departments such as Production, Order Processing, Purchasing, Logistics, and Inventory Management
  • Ensure optimal functionality and seamless integration of departments for qualitative and timely delivery
  • Directly lead the Production Manager and be ultimately responsible for production performance
  • Manage the Order Processing department via the Order Processing Manager, ensuring correct order processing and smooth flow to production
  • Analyze processes, detect improvement opportunities, and translate them into concrete optimizations
  • Ultimate responsibility for purchasing and inventory policy (availability, costs, efficient inventory build-up)
  • Ultimate responsibility for logistical planning and achieving realistic delivery times
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust clear KPIs (production, efficiency, quality, transport)
  • Responsible for investments in machinery, processes
  • Financial responsibility: manage the full P&L of the plant, monitor margins, analyze costs and labor efficiency, and adjust where necessary
  • Continuously monitor facility performance and translate figures into targeted actions and decisions
  • Ultimately responsible for alignment with R&D and the successful development and implementation of innovative products and technical improvements

  • Operationally strong people manager who easily switches between the shop floor and daily organization
  • Someone who gains energy from optimizing processes, managing people, and achieving results

  • Several years of experience in a leadership role within a production environment
  • Technical background or sufficient technical affinity to easily understand a production organization

  • Commercial acumen and maturity to communicate professionally with customers and partners
  • Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach
  • Results-oriented mindset and an eye for quality

Preferences.

  • Experience within the windows and doors sector or the aluminum industry is a plus, but not a requirement
