What you do
As a care farmer, you are responsible for the agricultural part of the operation. You develop a clear vision and seasonal planning for the field, aimed at meaningful daily activities and sustainable yields. You combine practical agricultural knowledge with a coaching attitude towards the residents, involving them in activities and teaching them new skills. Your Main Tasks:
- Organizing the agricultural enterprise from a social and realistic perspective
- Systematically and structuredly developing and implementing the agricultural enterprise for organic vegetable and fruit cultivation
- Building a network of organizations for the integration of people, with a significant distance to the labor market, into the agricultural enterprise
- Organizing and monitoring the involvement of residents within the agricultural enterprise
- Coordinating volunteer activities within the agricultural enterprise
- Presence in the agricultural field from the perspective of proximity to residents and volunteers
- Organizing and guiding workshops and activities for residents and other stakeholders
- Maintaining and optimizing the domain, including green spaces, infrastructure, and horticultural projects
- Developing and launching new opportunities on the care farm's domain.
Profile
General:
- Bachelor's degree in broad social-agogical sciences, agro- and biotechnology, or bio-engineering sciences, or an equivalent diploma
- In possession of a B driving license
- Medically fit (an examination by the occupational physician is required)
- Possess a recent extract from the criminal record (general model 595)
- Proficiency in the Dutch language

- Standing firm, daring to lead, able to anticipate unexpected situations, and able to deal with complex behavior of residents
