You will work on new construction projects that make a real difference for people seeking a pleasant and affordable home. You ensure that plans become reality, from the initial ideas to completion. You maintain direction, bring parties together, and realize homes where people feel at home. You are responsible for realizing the new construction assignment, from planning to delivery and evaluation, and contribute directly to the growth and sustainability of a housing corporation's housing stock.
What you will do.
- Further elaborate a start decision into an investment proposal and realization decision
- Integrally manage new construction projects on time, money, quality
- Coordinate multiple large-scale projects, possibly with sub-projects
- Collaborate with partners on feasible and future-proof designs
- Develop and implement the right procurement and contract strategy
- Monitor progress and adjust where necessary
- Identify risks and translate them into concrete control measures
- Guide the project leader during the execution phase and be ultimately responsible for successful delivery and transfer of projects
- Select and contract advisors and construction partners
- Functionally lead project leaders
- Manage project and construction teams
- Be a strong and connecting discussion partner for stakeholders
Profile
- HBO/university level of thinking and working, preferably in a construction technical direction
- Experience with new construction and real estate projects, from initiation to delivery
- Easily switches between content, finances, and collaboration with various parties
- Experience with project-based work and consciously manages planning, budget
- Financially knowledgeable and maintains control over risks and costs
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials
- Understanding of the context of a housing corporation, or willingness to learn it
- Enjoys working collaboratively and knows how to connect people
- Communicates openly and clearly, with an eye for different interests
- Maintains overview and brings structure, even in complex projects
- Dares to make choices and involves others in them
- Works purposefully and derives satisfaction from visible results
- Gets energy from the moment new homes are delivered and residents receive their keys
- Feels involved in the environment and wants to contribute to pleasant living for everyone
