Strategic Marketer & Brand Builder

North HollandHybrid8 hours/week>12months

A growing cultural organization, specializing in physical and visual performances, is seeking an experienced, strategic marketing professional. The organization is developing rapidly, creating shows, performances, films, and projects within both performing arts and museum contexts. There is a need for a senior sparring partner who can contribute strategically to the direction, positioning, and audience development.

The role requires efficiency and all-round skills, effortlessly switching between strategic guidelines and decisive execution to build a future-proof foundation.

What you do

  • Strategically contribute to the organization's direction, profiling, branding, and long-term vision.
  • Build a visual and content identity that evolves with the expansion into museum spaces, film, and (inter)national contexts.
  • Devise and implement well-thought-out strategies to reach new and diverse audiences and engage them long-term.
  • Actively build an engaged community around themes such as intersectional feminism, dance, martial arts, and performance through targeted dialogue, in-depth fringe programming, newsletters, and exclusive content.
  • Transform one-time visitors into a loyal, consistent supporter base.
  • Independently and decisively set up and execute impactful campaigns for shows and projects.
  • Strategically utilize media relations, press outreach, and channels for maximum impact with minimal resources.

What they ask

  • Extensive experience as a senior marketer, brand strategist, or communication advisor, preferably within the cultural sector.
  • Intrinsic energy for community building, reaching new target groups, and long-term brand building.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking: contributing to the big picture, understanding the zeitgeist, and translating artistic content into sustainable positioning.
  • Efficient and decisive: knowing how to work effectively in limited time, prioritize strictly, and make progress.
  • Desire for long-term growth within a collaborative relationship.
  • Strong in language, visual identity, concept development, and storytelling.
  • Affinity with an intersectional feminist approach and an egalitarian, open way of collaborating.

What they offer.

  • A market-conform senior fee, scaled according to the Fair Practice Code and the collective labor agreement for Theater and Dance.
  • A position as a strategic sparring partner with significant substantive influence and freedom of action.
  • The opportunity to co-shape, from the ground up, the identity and future of a unique, growing artistic practice.
