Logistics Manager

Are you an enthusiastic and organized professional who wants to play an important role in logistics processes within a defense organization? This role offers the opportunity to make an essential contribution to material management at an officer training institute.
What you do
- Register and maintain inventories, including documentation.
- Plan maintenance and inspections of equipment.
- Ensure clear and orderly storage locations.
- Support Facility Services: manage and draft service contracts, supervise execution, provide feedback on supplier performance.
- Track annual transport needs: collect transport data, create overviews, coordinate with involved departments.
- Be involved in regular catering: supervise the execution of the annual service agreement, support negotiations, act as an escalation level for irregularities.
- Advise on needs assessments: review external requests against the Activity Plan, guide progress.
- Mandated purchasing authority.
- Act as a link between parties: support in identifying ammunition needs, ensure inclusion in the annual needs assessment cycle, serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
What they ask Knowledge.
- MBO+/HBO work and thinking level.
- General knowledge of facility services and specific knowledge of service processes within a support command organization.
- General theoretical knowledge of logistics processes (goods flows, inventory management, transport, and distribution) and practical application.
- Knowledge of automated systems (SAP) and data processing and interpretation.
- Knowledge of the P&C cycle and budgeting methodologies.
- Knowledge of current legislation and regulations in the field of Occupational Health & Safety and Environment.
- Insight into administrative, organizational, and functional relationships within a defense organization.
- Skill in planning, organizing, and coordinating logistics activities, as well as analyzing processes and identifying and solving bottlenecks.
Experience requirements.
- Work experience in the field of (facility) services.
